The 2021 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Military Members (2021 WGR): Coast Guard Overview Report (2021 WGR Coast Guard Overview Report) provides an overview of the topline estimates related to unwanted sexual contact, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination. It also includes supporting data related to the characteristics of these experiences, reporting experiences, and perceived retaliation in the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). The 2021 WGR was conducted from December 9, 2021, through March 3, 2022.
The USCG remains committed to preventing and responding to sexual assault, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination within its ranks. Key insights from the 2021 WGR for the USCG include: estimated prevalence and characteristics of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination in the USCG; Service member attitudes and beliefs vis-à-vis these issues; and perceptions of unit climate.
