The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Professionals infographic highlights the critical services SAPR professionals provide as well as the support and resources these persons need to continue to perform their jobs. The infographic presents data from the 2018 Quick Compass of Sexual Assault Responders conducted in September 17 and October 29, 2018 and illustrates that the resources available to SAPR professionals to combat burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma are underutilized.
Note: Prior to 2025, OPA research products used the term “gender” to describe men and women. These groups were defined using survey items and/or administrative data categories for “male” and “female”; therefore, references to gender should be understood to mean “sex”.
