The 2021 Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Military Members (2021 WGR): Coast Guard Overview Report (2021 WGR Coast Guard Overview Report) provides an overview of the topline estimates related to unwanted sexual contact, sexual harassment, and sex discrimination. It also includes supporting data related to the characteristics of these experiences, reporting experiences, and perceived retaliation in the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). The 2021 WGR was conducted from December 9, 2021, through March 3, 2022.
Note: Prior to 2025, OPA research products used the term “gender” to describe men and women. These groups were defined using survey items and/or administrative data categories for “male” and “female”; therefore, references to gender should be understood to mean “sex”.
