In addition to survey items (i.e., demographics, retention, satisfaction, tempo, stress, and readiness) used in all Status of Forces Surveys (SOFS), the 2013 SOFS-R included items on deployments since September 11, 2001, Military OneSource, and general financial health. Items on the following topics were also included: reunion and reintegration, programs and services, commissaries and exchanges, civilian work, utilization, attitudes toward military service/lifestyle, employer support, reemployment after activation/deployment, education, spouse/dependent health care, member health care, relatives serving in the Armed Forces, and the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) program.
