Defense Testing & Assessment Center (DTAC) Websites
An all-in-one resource that provides essential ASVAB testing information for prospective applicants, recruiters, counselors, educators, and researchers. It facilitates learning more about how the ASVAB is used to qualify military applicants for entrance into the U.S. Military and into training programs for military occupations.
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) helps young people understand their unique skills and interests and plan coursework that will enable them to enter the labor market more intentionally.
After taking the ASVAB at school, students receive an access code that enables them to utilize all of the career planning tools at asvabprogram.com for up to two years. Students can participate in a Post-Test Interpretation that includes an explanation of their ASVAB scores and how to use all the tools. The ASVAB CEP encourages students to consider all of their options, including two and four-year degree colleges and universities, work-based learning, vocational training, and the Military.
The ASVAB CEP is available at no cost to students in 10th grade and above, including those who have already completed high school. Participating in the ASVAB CEP does not obligate those tested to Military Service. However, those interested in joining the Military can use their scores for up to two years after taking the ASVAB to explore enlistment if they tested in 11th grade or later.
